The Electro-Voice team recently rolled into Orlando, Florida for a special Roadshow event hosted by regional EV reps Sales Force & Associates and Full Sail University – one of the leading media arts schools in the world.
Offering degrees in fields including Show Production & Touring, Full Sail was the ideal venue to introduce new audio technologies from EV to a new generation of industry pros, alongside regional consultants, dealers and key personnel from Disney, Sea World and Universal.
Michael Tremain and Stu Schatz of EV co-presented, covering the design and application of equipment including Tour Grade (TG) amplifiers, the new generation of CPS series contractor amps (including multi-channel models), NetMax digital system control with FIR-Drive, and new EVA (line array), EVF (front-load) and EVH (horn-load) loudspeakers from the EV-Innovation family.
“This was one of the best roadshow events so far,” says Tremain. “Sales Force did a superb job coordinating things and the Full Sail crew also went above and beyond to make this a memorable production, even helping with load-in, set-up and tear-down. The students were eager to learn and asked a lot of questions, and the seasoned pros in attendance responded very positively to our latest equipment – one of the contractors present mentioned that, though they were primarily a dealer in one of our main competitor’s products, they would be specifying more EV solutions from now on. Another comment I was pleased to hear was ‘your products’ performance to dollar ratio is out of the park.’ It was both a great educational experience and an opportunity to let our gear speak for itself in terms of quality and value – a great day all around!”
