Posted on Friday, April 19, 2013
Discover Video today announced that Richard Mavrogeanes, founder and president of Discover Video, will speak at the first Connecticut Education Network (CEN) conference on Friday, May 10th at Rentschler Field. Richard will be providing an in-depth presentation on streaming video, live and on-demand, for use in classrooms and at home.
In this session, he will review the underlying technology for video distribution and explore the benefits of private, public, and hybrid approaches, and examples from Connecticut schools will be highlighted. The session targets beginner to intermediate level technology staff, teachers, and anyone looking to gain a better understanding of how to deliver live video to desktops, iPads, Androids, BYOD’s, and set top boxes.
Connecticut Education Network, or "CEN" is part of the State's secure "Nutmeg Network", whose purpose is to deliver reliable, high-speed internet access, data transport, and value added services to its members throughout Connecticut.
CEN helps deliver on the promise of equality in education by providing access to technology that schools and libraries would not be able to afford on their own. This investment is supported by private schools and institutions of higher education that are committed to the idea of overall improvement in education and broad support for access to technology.
